Professional activities:
Writing an article about project management or being a speaker at an event project management which allows you to earn 10 to 30 PDUs. Self-directed learning:
Get PDUs by sharing project management knowledge with colleagues. The PMI recognize the activities that involve research or studies personally. This includes discussions or training sessions with colleagues or customers using information materials such as CD-ROMS, articles, books, videos and instruction manuals. It is important to know that an individual can get a maximum of 15 PDUs for self-directed learning activities during each CCR cycle.
Voluntary Service: You can earn up to 20 PDUs per CCR cycle to provide professional services to an organization outside your employer. You could serve as a member of a committee, chosen either officially or voluntarily in a project management organization. Or you could serve as project manager for a program / community service project or charity group. For PDUs through this mechanism, you must fill out the form to have the PMI on Web pagewww.pmi.org , indicating the specific project.
Educational programs offered by outside vendors (this is the case of courses offered by ACIS): The PMI will recognize the activities or educational programs offered by organizations not registered with PMI. Use the following formula to calculate the number of PDUs earned in this category (which should be recorded as a category 4): One (1) hour of training equals one (1) PDU.
